According to Bild, Borussia Dortmund are yet to reach an agreement on a transfer fee for Brighton midfielder Pascal Groß.
Dortmund and the Premier League side have been negotiating the transfer fee for the midfielder for a number of weeks now but remain apart in their valuation. Dortmund are said to be interested in paying €8m for Groß while Brighton is holding out for close to €10m.
Groß has already made it clear that he would like to move to the Signal Iduna Park where he will play a big role not only due to his versatility but also the leadership qualities he could bring. Brighton themselves seem resigned to losing the midfielder but will continue to drive a hard bargain.
Sky Germany reports that Dortmund had another target on their list for the midfield position and that was PSV midfielder Jerdy Schouten. Despite having contact with the Dutch international, a move is unlikely to materialise as the Eredivise side is demanding close to €30m, which is seen as too expensive.
Dortmund are continuing their rebuild under new head coach Nuri Şahin. The club are also said to be working on deals for Yan Couto, previously of Girona, as well as Lyon attacker Rayan Cherki, however, Dortmund are prioritising other signings over the Frenchman.
