As reported by Ruhr Nachrichten, Borussia Dortmund sold 50,000 ‘final’ shirts on the evening of their second-leg win against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semi-final last week. A shirt in great demand, BVB ordered a further 50,000 the following day but with the demand so high, it also attracts counterfeit shirts.

Borussia Dortmund’s ‘final’ shirt is on sale for €10 across some sites, and the club have since issued a statement: “We are using all legal means to contain these shops. At the moment, numerous, deceptively fake BVB online shops are advertising here on Facebook and trying to defraud you.”

Per the report, some Borussia Dortmund fans, who have used the fake shops, haven’t received their order with the product, in most cases, never delivered.

Borussia Dortmund have since pointed out that the club’s official shop can be found at shop.bvb.de and www.bvbonlineshop.com, and have reminded fans to check the web address before purchasing an unusually cheap product.
