Borussia Dortmund reportedly targeting in VfB Stuttgart’s Enzo Millot

According to French media outlet L’equipe, Borussia Dortmund have set their sights on French talent Enzo Millot. The attacking midfielder has made over one hundred appearances for VfB Stuttgart and scored eighteen times since joining from Monaco in 2021. He was a key player in Stuttgart's second-place Bundesliga finish last season, and this season, he's netted four and assisted two across twenty-three appearances.

The twenty-two-year-old has a market value in the ballpark of thirty-five million euros, but Sky reports Millot has a release clause in his contract that could be much lower than his market value. If reports are to be believed, Millot could exit the club for as low as eighteen-million.

Borussia Dortmund will likely be trying to strengthen their wings this summer, with the likely departure of Jamie Gittens or Karim Adeyemi. Both are rumored to be exiting the summer and could command large sums of money should BVB accept a transfer.

Enzo Millot tends to be an attacking-minded player who can slot in on the wings or play as a ten. He’s seen as a potential replacement for Dortmund's young playmakers, as he has significant potential given his young age.

It has been reported, however, that BVB is hesitant to bring in a French player again after Ousmane Dembelè’s debacle departure to Barcelona. It could be argued, on the other hand, that Dembelè’s actions forcing a transfer should reflect on him as a player rather than the French Football Federation.

BVB is no stranger to poaching Stuttgart players, recruiting Gregor Kobel in 2021, then Waldemar Anton and Serhou Guirassy last summer. Could Dortmund set their sights on Stuttgart’s assets once again?
