According to L’Équipe, Bordeaux attacker Alberth Elis (28) has been taken to hospital after suffering a nasty clash of heads in Les Girondins’ Ligue 2 match against Guingamp. The forward has been confirmed as conscious as he was taken to a nearby hospital.

The Honduras international suffered a clash of heads with Guingamp’s Donatien Gomis in the opening 34 seconds of the second division match. Elis collapsed following the collision and after receiving lengthy treatment, the 28-year-old was stretchered off the pitch and surrounded by his teammates. The Matmut Atlantique applauded the Bordeaux forward as he left the field to receive further treatment.
