Bologna are on edge after star striker Joshua Zirkzee limped off practically in tears following a muscular injury against Napoli.
The forward had tested Alex Meret with an angled drive when he pulled up a few minutes later, calling to the medical staff for help.
Zirkzee was hobbling very badly when substituted and seemed to be drying his tears on the bench as teammates and staff tried to console him.
According to the DAZN pitch-side reporter, the Dutch forward felt a pull in the flexor of his left leg and fears this will mark the end of his Serie A season.
Bologna are on the verge of celebrating their qualification for the Champions League, having already secured their first European participation in over 20 years.
Zirkzee will turn 23 later this month and contributed 12 goals and seven assists in 37 competitive games this season.
He has been heavily linked with a summer exit at €80m, with Milan, Juventus, Inter, Arsenal and more interested.
