Blackpool fans are making an emotional return to Bloomfield Road on Saturday after years of boycotting the club under the control of the Oyston family.
A four year boycott is over after a court took the club out of Owen Oyston’s control last month.
After three seasons with an average attendance of around 4,000, over 14,000 are expected for Saturday’s game against Southend.
Following years of protests against the Oystons, fans took part in a celebratory march towards the stadium on Saturday afternoon.
And then filled up the stadium.
The club have removed the Oyston sign from above the dugouts and, in a great touch, will pay tribute to many of the club’s supporters who have passed away over the last few years.
