Manchester United FA Cup winner Clayton Blackmore says they should've signed Jadon Sancho as a teenager.

Sancho went to Borussia Dortmund in 2017 from Manchester City before finally returning to the Premier League this summer.

The former United man told the Manchester Evening News: "I spoke to his dad at times back then and he wanted away from City because from the U16s to the reserve teams at City there was no one better than Sancho. It's probably why he left, at the time I tried to get our scouts to sign him up, but it didn't happen.

"He's a great a talent, he should have played more at the Euros because the one game he did play he was excellent. I think he'll be great for the club, we just might have too many players who want to play on that left-hand side."
