Blackburn Rovers are set for yet another busy summer at Ewood Park with preparations already underway for the upcoming 2021/22 campaign.

Tony Mowbray and co are currently weighing up which areas of the squad that they need to strengthen and are expected to be busy once more after the transfer window recently opened.

Incomings appear likely for the Lancashire club, whilst there is still constant speculation over the future of their top scorer from the season just gone, Adam Armstrong, with Premier League clubs said to be chasing his signature.

14-goal striker targeted

Former MK Dons striker and current Toulouse player Rhys Healey is sad to be a summer target for Rovers, as per a recent report by the Lancashire Telegraph.

The 26-year-old is one of a number of names that Blackburn are said to have lined up as a potential replacement for Armstrong, who appears all the more likely to depart for the top flight.

Healey notched up an impressive 14 goals in 32 games for the French second division side last term and could well be eager on a move back to England.

The Manchester born forward currently has two years remaining on his contract in France.

Stoke City and Cardiff City eye move

Stoke and Cardiff City are said to both be eyeing moves for Corry Evans this summer, as per a recent report by Football Insider.

The 30-year-old is set to depart Rovers at the end of this month with his contract set to expire at Ewood Park and could well be keen on staying at Championship level.

It is understood that the duo have both made their interest known to the player’s representatives and a transfer to either side could now beckon.

Evans leaves Blackburn after making over 200 appearances for the Lancashire side.

Jerry Yates latest

Rovers are yet to have made any contact with Blackpool over the potential signing of striker Jerry Yates, as per a recent report by the Lancashire Telegraph.

Both Nottingham Forest and Bristol City are also said to be interested in the marksman who notched up 23 goals last term and could well rival Blackburn in the race for his signature.

It is said that the Tangerines are willing to listen to offers of £5 million for their star man and won’t let him go without a fight.

Yates is currently under contract at Bloomfield Road until the summer of 2023.
