The Blues announced news of Cowie and Worsey’s loan moves on their official club website earlier today. Both players have come through the Birmingham City academy system before finding themselves on the fringes of the first team.
Defender Cowie has made 13 appearances for the Blues in all competitions to date. She has been an unused substitute in Birmingham City’s three Barclays Women’s Championship fixtures so far this season.
Attacker Worsey has made seven appearances for the Blues in her senior career to date. Like Cowie, she has also made the matchday squad on three occasions this season but has not been used.
Both players need regular game time to continue to grow and they go into an excellent set-up at Nottingham Forest. The Tricky Trees were FA Women’s National League Championship Play-Off Final runners-up last season while they have won all three league games this season with a 12-goal swing.
Nottingham Forest take on FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division leaders Burnley in their next match on Sunday afternoon. Loanees Cowie and Worsey could be involved at Lancashire County FA.
