Birmingham City goalkeeper Adrianna Franch has signed a one-year contract extension with the club.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from the Blues this evening.

The 34-year-old initially joined Birmingham City on a short-term deal in the latter stages of last season. Franch arrived at St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park off the back of a long spell playing in the American National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) while she also holds several United States senior international caps.

Franch made five appearances for the club but was unable to help them secure the Barclays WSL2 title. The player will be hoping to celebrate success at the end of the 2025/2026 season after agreeing to extend her stay in the Midlands.

After signing her new contract with Birmingham City, Franch said “I’m super-excited, last year I was only here for a little bit so I’m looking forward to being here with the entire group for a whole year. We’ve got some good new signings along with a core group here so I’m excited to be back and see what we can do.

“Everyone wants to work together to achieve something special here, we were close last year and it’s about making sure we accomplish that this year.”

Further Birmingham City squad news will be announced in due course.
