The Blues announced news of the deal via a post on their official club website last night.
The 19-year-old attacker joined Birmingham City last summer after leaving Barclays Women’s Super League club Chelsea. Dungate made 11 appearances for the Midlands club in last season’s Barclays Women’s Championship with just two of those outings coming as starts.
Dungate has a big future ahead of her but she needs more game time to reach her full potential. The loan move to Nottingham Forest provides the player with an excellent opportunity to develop with The Tricky Trees set to challenge for the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division title this season.
After sealing her loan move to Nottingham Forest, Dungate said “I’m buzzing to sign here, I think coming on loan to Forest will help my development – I just want to gain as much experience and first team minutes as I can.
“The ambitions of the Club are great, they want to be in the Championship next season and I’m a player that wants to be a part of that side, so it was a good fit for me.”
Dungate could make her Nottingham Forest debut in their season opener at Stoke City tomorrow afternoon.
