Ruben Loftus-Cheek missed out on AC Milan’s game against Juventus last night due to a hamstring injury. However, as a report claims, he has now returned to training and could be available against Inter on Monday.
The Englishman has been on the sidelines since the game against Red Star Belgrade, which took place on December 11, when he injured his right hamstring. Last night, as Milan faced Juve in the Supercoppa Italiana semi-final, he wasn’t even on the bench.
Good news has now arrived, though, as Loftus-Cheek worked with the rest of his teammates today according to Luca Bianchin. The players who started yesterday’s game weren’t on the pitch, of course, but the rest were and the Englishman was able to take part in the full session.
It’s possible that the midfielder could be back in time for the Inter game, in other words, but it will likely be from the bench regardless. Sergio Conceicao might also opt for a formation change as the 4-3-3 wasn’t too successful in the first half last night, so everything XI-related is a bit uncertain at the moment.
Rafael Leao is still working individually, it should be noted, and he could perhaps play a few minutes at most on Monday.
