Beth Mead has been named England’s Player of the Year, joining Bukayo Saka as Arsenal make a cleansweep of the award.

Beth Mead has had quite the year.

Winning the Euros and the Golden Boot at the tournament, the Arsenal star has now been named as England Player of the Year.

When you look at her stats, it’s not hard to see why she picked up the award:

In total, Mead scored 14 goals for England, the most ever scored for the country in a single season, surpassing Jimmy Greaves record of 13.

She has also had a beer named after her, a plaque unveiled at her former university and is publishing two books, finished runner up in UEFA’s Player of the Year, been nominated for BBC’s Player of the Year and the Ballon d’Or.

This season, Mead has show no signs of stopping with three goals in the first two FA WSL games.
