Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll know that Karim Benzema, Kylian Mbappe and Christopher Nkunku have been tearing up European football in 2021/22.
With Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig, the French trio have scored and assisted goals at a ridiculous rate.
Their outrageous numbers have been praised to the rafters on social media in recent weeks and the sight of them gave us an idea.
We’ve decided to use Transfermarkt to look at who’re currently the three most prolific players from each of the current top 10 nations in the FIFA World Rankings.
And it turns out Benzema, Mbappe and Nkunku’s stats are even scarier than we first thought…
(Only players operating in one of Europe’s top 15 leagues were considered for selection, with goal contributions across all club competitions taken into account.)

Amazingly, Benzema, Mbappe and Nkunku have amassed 152 goal contributions collectively in 2021/22.
That’s nearly double England’s current total and close to triple that of Argentina – absolute madness.
If Benzema, Mbappe and Nkunku line up alongside one another at the 2022 World Cup, France may break some goalscoring records…
