Benzema and Rudy Fernández scoop prizes at ‘Mundo Deportivo’ gala

Karim Benzema and Rudy Fernández both received prizes at the 75th edition of the Mundo Deportivo Gran Gala awards ceremony held in Barcelona. The Real Madrid striker took the trophy for LaLiga best player 2021/22, having finished as top scorer with 27 goals, and playing a key role as our team clinched the title. The club's Director of Institutional Relations Emilio Butragueño picked up the award on his behalf.

Meanwhile, Rudy Fernández was recognised as Spanish sportsman of the year. Last summer, the madridista forward captained to Eurobasket success with the Spain national team. In 2022, Rudy also got his hands on another two trophies, the League and Super Cup, adding to his spectacular honours list with Real Madrid.
