With the Belgian Pro League season wrapped up on Sunday, it is time to put together our team of the season for the 2023/2024 campaign. We have covered the goalkeeper, defence and the midfield, so now it is time for the strikers.

Kevin Denkey (Cercle Brugge)

Kevin Denkey has been the standout forward in the Belgian Pro League this season. The 24-year-old Togolese has fired Cercle Brugge into European football with 28 goals in 39 games, 15 more than he managed last season. This is the first year that the forward has grabbed more than 20. Since joining Cercle midway through the 2020/2021 season from Nimes, Denkey has scored 51 goals in 124 appearances. This may well be the last we see of Denkey in Belgium as plenty of sides want to sign him this summer.

Tarik Tissoudali (Gent)

This second spot was very competitive. Mohamed Amoura, Thiago and Gustaf Nilsson could all lay claim to being the second best forward in the league. However, we have gone with Tarik Tissoudali of Gent. The Moroccan forward scored 21 goals and grabbed 10 assists in 51 games for the Gent side this season and was a huge reason they were able to comfortably win play-off two and ultimately qualify for the Conference League qualification stages. The 31-year-old has bounced back from an injury that cost him a transfer and a trip to Qatar for the 2022 World Cup and had an incredible season.
