The Hammers announced the news this afternoon via an update on their official club website.
Tysiak joins the East Londoners from Belgian Women’s Super League club Oud-Heverlee Leuven where she has spent almost three years of her career. The defender started her senior playing career with KRC Genk back in 2016.
On the international stage, Tysiak has been a member of the Belgian national team for the last two years. She was included in head coach Ives Serneels’ squad for the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022. The player made one appearance at the tournament.
After completing her move to West Ham United, Tysiak said “I’m very excited to sign for West Ham United. This is a beautiful Club with a rich history and I’m very happy to be here.
“I’ve been doing my research and I know West Ham is a historical, hard-working side that has always had players who work tirelessly for the badge.
“I’ve watched the team play a few times and I can see a group of players who work well together and fight for the cause together. They always give 100 percent in every game and I’m looking forward to being a part of that.”
Tysiak becomes West Ham United manager Paul Konchesky’s first signing of the January transfer window.
