Bayern do not want to lose Robert Lewandowski, but the Poland international has asked the Bundesliga giants to release him so he can complete a ‘dream move’ to Real Madrid.
According to reports by Spanish newspaper AS, Lewandowski has asked Bayern for his release at the end of this season. The Polish striker would like to switch to Real Madrid and a big-money summer transfer, which is already in the making.
Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge had recently stressed that Lewandowski will fulfil his contract with the Bavarians, which runs until the summer of 2021, but that seems less and less likely now.
The 29-year-old striker has scored a staggering 100 goals in just 121 appearances for the Bundesliga club and, and whilst his heart is set on Spain, Ligue 1 giants PSG are also interested in securing his services, revealing they’re willing to pay the insane £131m for Lewa.
But AS reports that Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has told Zinedine Zidane that the Polish striker will be at the Bernabéu next summer.
