Kim Min-jae started and made his bow in a Bayern Munich shirt but the scores were level at the end of an uneventful first half.
Seven changes at half-time and one of them, Josip Stanišić, broke the deadlock just before the hour mark.
The defender snatched the ball aggressively in midfield and drove forward, playing a one-two with Ryan Gravenberch as he reached the edge of the area and finishing calmly for the game’s only goal.
Next up, Bayern will travel to Singapore to take on Liverpool.
