Sky Germany report this evening that Bayern Munich have shown concrete interest in signing Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus.
The 23-year-old has a release clause significantly higher than his market value (€39 million) and has also attracted interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Neuhaus signed a contract extension with Borussia Mönchengladbach in December 2019 until 2024 and has become an integral member of Marco Rose’s squad – the German has missed just one Bundesliga game this season, scoring three and creating two, becoming an incredible No. 8.
Speaking to Sky 90 last Sunday, former Fortuna Düsseldorf head coach Friedhelm Funkel believes Neuhaus would be an excellent player for Bayern Munch: “He has all the requirements for a great player, he is already a great player but he will get even better.
“He’s an incredibly good boy, is well behaved and has no nonsense in his head. He concentrates on football and is technically very good.”
Die Fohlen sporting director Max Eberl has remained adamant that he won’t sell his best players and so, a potential suitor would have to pay the release clause.
