After sustaining an ankle injury, and subsequently missing Portugal’s Euro 2024 campaign, Bayern Munich’s Raphaël Guerreiro (30) returned to training on Monday ahead of the 2024/25 season.

As reported by Kicker, Guerreiro should be fit enough to return to action for Bayern in their opening match in mid-July. The left-back, who has also operated in midfield for Bayern, suffered a ligament and capsular injury in his ankle on matchday 32 against Stuttgart while blocking a shot on goal, sidelining the player for Bayern’s second-leg Champions League clash against Real Madrid.

Just like Guerreiro, Serge Gnabry and Tarek Buchmann also returned early as they prepare for Bayern Munich’s first training session on July 15. They have each started individual training at Bayern’s Säbener Straße HQ as they look to get a head start on the coming season.

Bayern Munich players will undergo performance tests on July 15 before playing their first friendly two days later, before heading off to their Tegernsee training camp on July 22.
