Juventus have accepted Bayern Munich’s latest offer for defender Matthijs de Ligt, according to BILD.

It has been reported that the two clubs have reached an agreement for the 22-year-old in a deal worth around €70m plus €10m in various add-ons and bonuses.

Bayern made De Ligt their number one defensive target earlier in the summer and have held various discussions with the Serie A club over the past week in a bid to get done.

Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić said on Friday: “I was there (Juventus) as a player for four years and have a good relationship with the club.

“We had two talks, now we have to be patient and see what happens.”

It appears that the patience has paid off as the Bundesliga champions look to be edging closer to getting their man.

De Ligt has been at Juventus since July 2019 where he made the move from Ajax for €75m.

He has made 117 appearances for the club winning one Serie A title and one Coppa Italia in his time in Turin.
