Bayern Munich transfer news – Cristiano Ronaldo

While Ronaldo was still contracted at Old Trafford, the Daily Mail reported that Bayern chiefs flew to England to hold talks with the player and his agent Jorge Mendes over a move, in light of Sadio Mane’s injury troubles.

Meanwhile, RB Leipzig midfielder Konrad Laimer is believed to be sought after by the Bavarians, and journalist Florian Plettenberg indicates that he is “leaning towards” a move to the German club, despite interest from Liverpool and Chelsea, although the move is not said to be at an advanced stage.

In terms of options going forward, Marca report that Joao Felix may be considered for a switch to Munich, as Atletico Madrid are now willing to part with the Portugal international, and Bayern are believed to have offered £86m for him in the summer.

According to Spanish sources, via CaughtOffside, another player Nagelsmann is interested in is midfielder Declan Rice, joining a growing list of potential suitors for the West Ham United star, along with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United.

What has Brown said about Ronaldo?

Brown believes that a move to Munich may still be on the cards for the man who was earning £515k-a-week at Man United, but states that they are likely to be the only top team that could do a deal, telling GIVEMESPORT: “The one that sticks in the back of my mind is Bayern Munich, I wonder if Bayern might be the team that has a nibble at him.

They have a need in that position and he’d probably fit into that setup better than he would anywhere else, his representatives have certainly explored that in the past but they might be the only absolutely top tier, high, elite team that might consider pushing hard to get Ronaldo right now.

How did Ronaldo perform in Portugal vs Ghana?

With his time at Old Trafford coming to an end, the Portugal captain had the chance to showcase his abilities to the likes of Bayern in his side’s World Cup opener against Ghana.

A nice easy start…

James Rodriguez Fredy Guarin

The Madeira-born striker had a mixed game, missing two big chances in the first half to put his side into the lead, according to SofaScore, although he later made up for it with a goal from the spot, having won a penalty after drawing a foul from Mohammed Salisu.

In trademark fashion, the man, who the Mirror claim has a net worth totalling £367m, displayed nerves of steel to fire the ball into the top left corner, a crucial goal for his side, who were 3-2 victors after a nervy finish to the game.
