Marcus Rashford could join up with England teammate Harry Kane at Bayern Munich, after Liverpool rejected the Germans’ approach for Luis Diaz.

Rashford officially returned to Manchester United on Tuesday after the conclusion of his loan spell with Aston Villa. The 27-year-old is not part of Ruben Amorim’s plans at Old Trafford, and he will be available for £40 million this summer.

After selling Leroy Sane to Galatasaray, Bayern are in need of attacking reinforcements and, according to Christian Faulk, they have genuine interest in Rashford. The Bavarians could make a move to sign the out of favour forward, although he is not their number one target.

Bayern’s top target at left-wing is Liverpool’s Luis Diaz. The Bundesliga champions approached their Premier League counterparts to enquire about the attacker. According to Sky, Liverpool made it clear that the Colombian is not for sale this summer.

Meanwhile, L’Equipe report that Arsenal are exploring a deal for Monaco attacker Maghnes Akliouche. The highly-rated 23-year-old can play as both an attacking midfielder and a winger. However, Monaco are asking for at least €70 million to sign the Frenchman.

Elsewhere, Atletico Madrid are continuing their pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Cristian Romero. AS report that Diego Simeone’s side are willing to offer a deal worth €55 million with a further €15 million in add-ons for the Argentine defender.

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Joao Pedro from Brighton in a deal worth £60 million. The Brazilian has already joined up with the Chelsea squad in the United States and will be eligible to play in their Club World Cup quarter-final against Palmeiras.

Bayer Leverkusen have confirmed the signing of Liverpool defender Jarrell Quansah. The centre-back has joined the German side for a club record fee of €35 million.

Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite has committed his long-term future to the club. The 23-year-old has been targeted by Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea in recent windows. He has now signed a five-year contract extension with Everton, which will keep him there until 2030.

Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo has also signed a five-year contract extension. The Ghanian had attracted interest from Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, but he has extended with Bournemouth until 2030.
