Several Bundesliga players are often criticised for their inability to do well in other leagues around Europe due to a much different footballing philosophy implemented by top clubs.

Players such as Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Jadon Sancho, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, among others have all suffered in yesteryears since they have not been able to adapt to the Premier League, especially due to their direct and open style.

While others, such as Jude Bellingham, have done exceedingly well already because they excel in tight spaces and pressure situations.

Another such player who is attracting eyes of top clubs is Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala.

Top Spanish clubs lurking

According to Fabrizio Romano, top Spanish clubs ‘love’ Jamal Musiala, and are keeping tabs on his situation with the Bavarian giants.

The German is also on the radar of several top teams in Europe, including Manchester City, who especially appreciate him. Liverpool and Chelsea are also interested in his signature.

However, signing him will be next to impossible, with Bayern Munich not ready to sell the player as early as this summer. He is an important part of the rebuild for them, and will almost definitely retain his spot in the squad next season under a new manager.

It would be safe to presume that the top clubs in question are Barcelona and Real Madrid, with Atletico Madrid, respectfully, not in a position to pursue his signing. Even the Catalans will likely not be able to sign him, with the price tag standing at over €100-120 million.

The Wirtz bomb

Musiala is not the only German midfield wonderkid that is gaining attention from Spain. Newly crowned Bundesliga champion Florian Wirtz has been a long-term target for Barcelona, as well, with Madrid also holding concrete interest.

However, Bayer Leverkusen’s CEO has made it clear that the club will not listen to any offers below €150 million for the German, and that the player will definitely continue at the club next season.

Unless Barça are able to magically conjure up a ton of money in the next year or two, signing Wirtz is just a distant dream.
