Bayern Munich have completed the signing of Katharina Naschenweng, who will join from TSG Hoffenheim in the summer.
The goalscoring defender, who has five in 10 league appearances this season, has signed a three-year deal but will remain with Hoffenheim for the rest of the season.
“We don’t need to talk about what a big club Bayern is,” Naschenweg told the club’s official website.
“I felt from the beginning that the interest was there and that they wanted to work with me. That really won me over. I’m excited to have the chance to play for Bayern.”
Naschenweg, who has won 38 Austria caps, has experience in the Frauen Bundesliga as well as the Women’s Champions League.
Bayern Frauen sporting director Bianca Rech said:
“We are excited that we can welcome Kathi in the summer. She is offensively and defensively versatile and should strengthen us with her quality. She will support us in reaching our aims over the next three years.”
