PSG to face Bayern Munich in Club World Cup quarter-finals | OneFootball

Paris Saint-Germain have learned the identity of their opponent for the quarter-final of the FIFA Club World Cup. They will face Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

PSG progressed to the quarter-finals of the inaugural edition of the competition with ease, beating Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami 4-0. Luis Enrique’s side raced into a 4-0 lead before half-time, before opting to manage the game and manage minutes for some key players in the second half.

Winners of the UEFA Champions League, PSG are one of the favourites to win the Club World Cup, however, they will face a stern test in the quarter-finals. Bayern Munich beat Flamengo 4-2 on Sunday night in what was a much tighter affair.

The Bavarian side have set up an encounter with Les Parisiens. Bayern Munich beat PSG 1-0 in the league phase of last season’s Champions League (1-0) and have won all of the last three meetings between the two sides.
