Bayern Munich are poised to sign Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Charles Aránguiz on a free transfer.
That’s according to Chilean radio station Futuro FM, who report on Thursday that Aránguiz has verbally agreed to join Bayern in the summer.
The 30-year-old’s current deal with Leverkusen is due to expire in June and he will reportedly move to Bayern as a free agent and sign a two-year contract.
Leverkusen were hoping to keep him but Kicker reported on Tuesday that contract talks have stalled and the Chilean international now looks set to move on.
Turkish duo Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray have also been credited with an interest, while a return to South America has not yet been ruled out.
Aránguiz has been playing in the Bundesliga since joining Leverkusen from Brazilian club Internacional in 2015 and he would no doubt be a useful addition to Bayern’s midfield engine room.
