Bayern Munich suffered an uncharacteristic slip on Saturday, leaving the Frauen Bundesliga title race wide open.
Sitting first in the table heading into the match, the visitors needed a win to secure themselves as Frauen Bundesliga champions.
And having dropped points only two times this season, it seemed like the celebrations would kick off against Bayer Leverkusen.
However, the hosts were prepared to make Bayern work over 90 minutes and held them to a 0-0 draw despite the visitors having 21 shots to seven and 67% possession of the ball.
Lea Schüller, Lina Magull, Georgia Stanway and company missed a huge chance to clinch the title and it leaves the door open for second place Wolfsburg.
A win against Meppen away on Sunday for the reigning champions would see the top two separated by two points on the final day of the season.
Both Bayern and Wolfsburg play their last match in front of home fans in what we’re expecting to be a thrilling end to the season.
