Bayern Munich have secured a major new commercial partner, announcing a long-term sponsorship deal with Dubai-based airline Emirates on Wednesday.

The agreement, which runs for seven years until the end of the 2031/32 season, marks a significant return to the Bundesliga for the global airline.

The partnership will primarily feature prominent Emirates branding on perimeter advertising boards at Bayern’s Allianz Arena during all Bundesliga home matches. The collaboration will also include joint digital and social media campaigns aimed at a global audience.

Bayern’s deputy chairman, Michael Diederich, highlighted the deal’s importance for the club’s financial stability and international growth.

“FC Bayern also needs financial planning security to achieve its sporting goals, so Emirates is an ideal fit for our club’s family of partners,”

Diederich said in a statement. “It will also help us that Emirates connects football fans around the world and can support FC Bayern in its internationalisation plans.”

For Emirates, the deal represents a strategic re-entry into German club football, having previously sponsored Hamburger SV from 2006 to 2012.

“We are immensely proud to partner with FC Bayern – Germany’s most iconic football club and a true global sporting giant,” said Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline.

“This landmark partnership represents far more than a commercial agreement; it embodies our deep commitment to Germany, which stands as a cornerstone of our European network,” he added.

The partnership adds another of Europe’s elite clubs to Emirates’ extensive football sponsorship portfolio, which includes long-standing associations with Real Madrid, Arsenal, AC Milan, and Benfica.
