Bayer Leverkusen are eyeing a move for Tottenham Hotspur star Heung-min Son, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
Son spent two seasons at Leverkusen after joining the club in 2013 for a record transfer fee, scoring 29 goals in 87 total appearances.
They are now eyeing a reunion with the experienced forward, but may be unable to pay a huge sum given their need to strengthen other positions.
Saudi Pro League clubs Al-Ahli, Al-Nassr and Al-Qadsiah have also expressed interest in Son, with the trio reportedly ready to pay €40 million for a transfer.
They are prepared to offer Son €30m annually, but it is unclear whether he is willing to move to the Middle East.
Tottenham triggered the option to extend Son’s contract until June 2026 to protect his market value earlier this year.
The talented winger has been a consistent performer for Spurs since joining the club in 2015.
He has registered 173 goals and 101 assists in 454 appearances across all competitions.
The South Korean international played a significant role in helping his team win the 2024-25 Europa League title.
Spurs are unlikely to sanction an exit unless they receive a huge transfer fee this summer.
