Kingsley Coman (27) has never not been crowned champion at the end of a league campaign. That changed on Sunday as Bayer Leverkusen lifted the Bundesliga title.

In his first two seasons in professional football, Coman won the Ligue 1 title with Paris Saint-Germain (2013, 2014). His run continued after securing a transfer to Juventus, where he won the Serie A title in back-to-back seasons (2015, 2016). In the second of his two seasons in Italy, he joined Bayern Munich, initially on loan and with the Bavarian side, and Juventus both winning their respective leagues, he won two titles in the same year.

Bayern Munich’s 11-title run ends

The French winger has always played for domestically dominant forces and since joining Bayern Munich, he has won the title in each of his seasons at the Allianz Stadium.

However, that incredible streak has now come to an end after Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen side beat Werder Bremen 5-0 on Sunday to clinch the Bundesliga. It was a seismic day in German football as Bayern Munich failed to win the league for the first time since the 2011-12 season.
