Bayer Leverkusen have completed the signing of Nigerian striker Victor Boniface from Union Saint-Gilloise.
After a lucrative season with the Belgian side, the 22-year-old put pen to paper on a five-year deal with Leverkusen Saturday morning.
Boniface launched himself into the picture in European football during the 2022/23 campaign, chipping in with 24 goal contributions in the Belgian Pro League and UEFA Europa League respectively, including a brace against his new employers.
“His performance against us absolutely confirmed our positive assessment,” Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes said.
“Victor is a very commanding and difficult to handle centre forward who will be a challenge for every defender with his physicality. In addition, he is also quick and has good technique.”
