Bastia full-back Stephen Quemper is edging closer to Guingamp

As reported by Foot Mercato, Bastia full-back Stephen Quemper is edging closer to signing for fellow Ligue 2 club Guingamp.

Having been promoted from the third tier National as the Corsican side fight their back up the divisions after financial issues saw them drop from Ligue 1 to the lower reaches of the French game after relegation from the top flight in 2017, Quemper has impressed in Ligue 2 this season once more.

The 28-year-old is out of contract at Bastia in the summer and is currently negotiating with Ligue 2 rivals Guingamp, his academy club, to join the Breton club once more next summer on a free transfer. An agreement is close as negotiations are progressing well say Foot Mercato.
