Barcelona starlet Pau Cubarsí has on Wednesday secured for himself a deserved individual accolade.

This comes amid confirmation that the defender has been voted as the La Liga U23 Player of the Month for March.

The month to date, of course, has seen Cubarsí cement himself ever further as a first-choice option at the heart of Barcelona boss Xavi’s backline.

All told, the now-Spanish international, still just 17, was afforded a starting berth in all four of the Blaugrana’s outings in March to date.

And his contributions, on the domestic and European fronts alike, proved of the highest standard.

In fact, across the three La Liga fixtures in which Cubarsí featured from the off, Barcelona did not concede a single goal.

Continuing to dazzle whilst in possession, too, it has in turn today come as little surprise to hear of the youngster’s endeavours being aptly recognised.

As per a statement across La Liga’s website and social media platforms, Cubarsí has been named as the division’s standout U23 performer for March:

As much comes just a day on from another of Barcelona’s breakthrough gems, in Lamine Yamal, securing for himself the award for La Liga Goal of the Month:
