An insight into the kind of sum which La Liga giants Barcelona are seeking for winger Raphinha this summer has on Sunday been forthcoming.

The info comes courtesy of Diario Sport, and confirms that the Brazilian will not be allowed to depart on the cheap.

It has of course long been rumoured in the media that the Barcelona brass are ready to bid farewell to Raphinha over the coming months.

Despite the former Leeds United man having continued to produce at a solid level across the season to date, he has been identified as one of the more expendable members of Xavi’s squad, owing to his natural position on the right wing clashing with that of Lamine Yamal.

As much comes amid interest in his services on the part of a number of clubs in Saudi Arabia, and the Premier League alike.

Raphinha, for his part, is eager to stay put, his sole intention remaining to succeed in the colours of the Blaugrana.

But Deco and his team of directors are understood to have laid out a starting point for negotiations with interested clubs.

As per the aforementioned Sport, ‘the Blaugrana would want a minimum of 70-80 million euros to consider a hypothetical operation beneficial or useful, since there is still around 30 million of amortization left’.
