Moise Kean’s red-hot form for Fiorentina this season has reportedly caught the eye of several top European clubs. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, La Liga heavyweights Barcelona have emerged as the latest admirers of the sought-after 25-year-old.
After an up-and-down career that has seen him feature for Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, the Italy international is enjoying a breakout campaign at Fiorentina. Indeed, Kean has gone from strength to strength at Stadio Artemio Franchi this season, establishing himself as one of Serie A’s deadliest strikers.
Thriving in Raffaele Palladino’s dynamic setup, Kean has already posted the best goal tally of his career — with two months still left to play — and finds himself firmly in the race for the Capocannoniere crown. More importantly, Kean’s blistering form at Fiorentina has not gone unnoticed, with several unnamed Premier League clubs vying for his signature.
However, the former Everton striker could swap Fiorentina for one of Europe’s most attractive destinations at the end of the season. Seeking a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski, Barcelona have set their sights on Kean, aiming to take advantage of a release clause in the player’s deal to lure him to Spain.
Kean can reportedly leave Fiorentina for a fee of €52 million between June 1st and 15th. It would leave La Viola president Rocco Commisso powerless to stop a potential summer exit. Meanwhile, Palladino’s most prolific forward will likely lead the line when the Tuscan giants take on Milan in a high-stakes league clash later this evening.
