The preseason tour in Asia continues for FC Barcelona and Hansi Flick’s squad. Following their trip to Japan, the team has now made its way to South Korea as their final stop on the tour. For Barcelona, it is crucial to end the tour on a positive note before heading back.
With two games left to play, the Catalan giants will be looking to win both of them. Following their win over Vissel Kobe in Japan, this is now Barça’s chance to establish themselves in South Korea as well before they turn their attention towards the Joan Gamper Trophy match back in Spain.
The upcoming opponent for Barcelona is none other than FC Seoul. However, unlike the previous outing against Vissel Kobe, Flick’s team should be much sharper heading into this game and they will be aware that the opposition will look to give them a difficult time as well.
Before the game in Japan, La Blaugrana had not played any games since the conclusion of the La Liga season. However, as players gradually returned from their respective vacations, the squad now finally looks ready for action again.

Unlike Vissel Kobe, however, FC Seoul is not exactly dominating the Korean football league right now. Whereas Barça’s Japanese opponents were top of the league, FC Seoul seems to be tackling with mixed fortunes of sorts when it comes to their recent form.
Across their last five games in the South Korean First Division, they have one draw, one loss, and three wins. However, in between these fixtures, they also had a draw in the local cup. Unlike Barcelona, moreover, they will be playing this friendly in the middle of their ongoing season.
That would mean that the South Korean side will enter the game with a competitive spirit and positive momentum on their side. Fortunately, Barcelona can match that with their elite quality, something that was on full display in their previous friendly.
With summer signing Joan Garcia and new loan arrival Marcus Rashford also having made their debuts last time out, they should be relatively more accustomed to their new settings by now. Fortunately, team-building and interactions are something that Hansi Flick appreciates at Barcelona.
Either way, this game should not be taken lightly by Barcelona. As the last step before they play their final game, Flick’s team should take this encounter seriously and try their best to put their best football on display.
