FC Barcelona are blowing past FC Seoul in their second pre-season friendly game. Having led 3-2 at the break through a brace from Lamine Yamal and a goal from Robert Lewandowski, Hansi Flick completely changed the XI for the second half of the game.

The Catalan club then put their foot on the accelerator in the second 45, going 6-2 ahead by the 75th minute. The sixth goal of the game was a sumptuous team goal that was capped off by Gavi, who is wearing the armband.

The Barcelona No. 6 performed a beautiful turn to get past his defender and slot the ball into the net after some beautiful build-up play. Roony Bardghji was heavily involved during the lead-up to the goal, but it was Gerard Martin who got the assist.

Gavi had been playing as a double pivot alongside Marc Casado for much of the second half, but got forward at every given opportunity. He was heavily involved with conducting the play in midfield in the absence of Pedri and had a very good game.

Having featured quite sparingly off the bench last season as he recovered from an ACL injury, this season seems to be the perfect time for the Barcelona midfielder to break into the first-team starting XI.

So far, his performances in the couple of pre-season games have been very good. The goal against FC Seoul was yet another example of just how good Gavi can be and where his strengths lie.

This isn’t the first time he has scored a goal like this, and the more he performs at a similar level, the sooner people will start realising that the Spanish youngster is much more than just passion and will go down as one of the most important players of Hansi Flick’s team in the coming months.
