Barcelona v Osasuna suspended after club doctor dies | OneFootball

Barcelona's game with Osasuna on Saturday has been called off following the sudden passing of club doctor Carles Miñarro Garcia.

The Blaugrana were due to host the Pamplona side this evening, however the game has been called off minutes before the scheduled kick off.

Barça released a short statement confirming the tragic news with LaLiga also offering their condolences via their own statement on social media.

It said: "LALIGA regrets the death of the doctor of the first team of FC Barcelona, ​​Dr. Carles Miñarro, and informs that for this reason the match between Barcelona and Osasuna scheduled for today has been postponed, pending the decision of the sole judge of Competitions.

"LALIGA would like to express its sincere condolences to the family, friends, club and fans and share their grief. The new date and time of the match will be announced shortly."
