It is a new season at Barcelona but the same old attitude problems of Ousmane Dembélé still appear to be there.

On Friday night during the club’s defeat to Athletic Club in their season opener, the Frenchman picked up yet another injury.

Subsequent tests have confirmed that Dembélé will miss up to five weeks of action with a hamstring problem.

But those medical examinations took place later than planned because of yet more frustrating behaviour from the winger off the field.

MARCA report that the club originally scheduled tests for Saturday morning to determine the extent of the problem for Dembélé.

Club officials were then left ‘stunned and furious’ when the former Borussia Dortmund star didn’t even turn up.

Both the medical and coaching staff attempted to make contact with Dembélé, who did not respond to their requests.

He apparently came in for a frosty reception when he eventually turned up on Monday at the club’s headquarters for tests.

But his latest show of petulance has not been well received whatsoever, with the story claiming that everyone from directors to medical staff and team-mates being angered by his behaviour.

Time-keeping issues and failure to show up for training and other club events have been a theme of the 22-year-old’s time in Spain.
