Footage centering on Barcelona starlet Lamine Yamal has turned heads online on Tuesday.

This comes after the Spaniard was stopped by a group of fans, one of whom was keen to make clear his take that Lamine is not deserving of the Ballon d’Or.

Instead, the supporter in question chanted the name of Paris Saint-Germain standout Ousmane Dembélé.

The names of attackers Dembélé and Lamine have of course found themselves positioned alongside one another in the media for several weeks now.

This comes amid mounting claims that the pair have emerged as the leading candidates to lift this year’s Ballon d’Or.

Wide-man Dembélé is fresh off leading PSG to a first-ever Champions League title, whilst Lamine notched a domestic treble of his own, dazzling onlookers the world over despite being just 17 years of age.

And as alluded to above, on Tuesday, a group of fans made use of the ongoing ‘Golden Ball’ debate to have some fun at Lamine’s expense.

As showcased in the footage below, whilst out in public, the Barcelona talent was stopped to take a round of photos, with one of those present having shouted:

‘You’re the dead star. Dembélé Ballon d’Or, Dembélé for Ballon d’Or.’
