Barcelona striker Luis Suarez explored the prospect of moving to Atletico Madrid ahead of Juventus, it has been revealed.
The departing Barca striker has agreed personal terms with Juve and is due to sign with the Serie A champions in days - if not hours.

Cadena Cope says before settling on his Juve deal, Suarez's minders made contact with Atletico about joining the Madrid giants.
Atletico were keen, though Suarez's €20m salary and the need to make room for the Uruguayan veteran proved too much of an obstacle to launch serious negotiations.
Only if Diego Costa or Alvaro Morata departed could Atletico consider taking on Suarez.
