Barcelona state of play with Juventus winger Federico Chiesa amid talk of €15m deal | OneFootball

Barcelona have been linked with a variety of left wingers since the start of the summer, but the most affordable one at any rate has been Juventus’ Federico Chiesa. The Italian winger has just a year left on his deal, and is not part of Thiago Motta’s plans.

There has been plenty of speculation surrounding a potential deal, with Barcelona reportedly making an offer for the 26-year-old, although the amounts have varied by report. Matteo Moretto has explained to Football España that the Blaugrana are yet to move for Chiesa. While he is an option they are considering for the final week of the transfer market, the reality is that they were offered the chance to sign him by his agent.

Chiesa’s representative, Fali Ramadani, is currently acting as an intermediary between Barcelona and Juventus to work if a deal could be done. Before any moves take place, clearly the Catalan side need to resolve some of their salary limit issues first, most notably registering Dani Olmo. At that point, clearly they would have to do some calculations on whether they have the funds to do a deal for Chiesa.
