Ter Stegen still not in training

Recent information from Alex Pintanel states that Ter Stegen is still not training with the group two days before the match against Atletico Madrid.

As only a couple of days remain, the chances of Ter Stegen guarding the sticks dwindle by the moment.

Every day, Ter Stegen tests and assesses his condition to determine how his lower back discomfort is progressing.

Although the idea of taking painkillers has been floated, it is obvious that no one wants to exacerbate the injury and make matters worse.

The German’s former teammate has also advised not to rush the process, with goalkeepers required to be at 100 percent before returning from injuries, particularly those related to the back.

Because of his strong exhibition, reports have previously argued that Ter Stegen would need to be judged to be 100% fit in order to replace Inaki Pena in the starting lineup, which is unlikely given how soon Barcelona and Atletico Madrid play.
