Just days after it was almost confirmed that Marc Guiu is set for a move to Chelsea, reports are now emerging, linking the young forward to a loan move elsewhere.

Although the Barcelona youngster’s move to Stamford Bridge will be confirmed sooner rather than later, it appears the Premier League giants want to loan out the young attacker in the coming summer.

Marc Guiu was recently linked with a loan move to Ligue 1. And now reports coming out of Spain suggest the Spaniard could be set for a return to La Liga.

Guiu to return to La Liga?

According to Diario SPORT, the future of Marc Guiu is an open case right now and there is a possibility he may return to Spain.

The report points to Sevilla being a potential destination for Guiu, as the Spanish outfit were interested in a move for the young forward this summer.

Sevilla could be in a position to offer Guiu regular game-time next season, which should go a long way in aiding his growth.

Sevilla, for their part, are ready to bet on the services of Guiu as they look to beef up their options in the attacking unit this summer.

Guiu’s prospects at Chelsea

Not long after his reported medical at Chelsea, speculation linking Guiu with a loan move elsewhere is hardly surprising.

The youngster, after all, may have a difficult time making a breakthrough at Stamford Bridge next season.

Although new coach Enzo Maresca has built a solid reputation for backing players, the Italian has a plethora of top attacking talents at his disposal, which doesn’t work in Guiu’s favour.

A loan move elsewhere, therefore, appears to be the most logical move for Guiu. Just where exactly the former Barcelona striker could be headed remains to be seen.
