Barcelona star urges Neymar to find a new club | OneFootball

Barcelona star Raphinha has provided his take on the ongoing speculation surrounding the future of fellow countryman Neymar Jr.

Wide-man Neymar has of course taken his place front and centre in the headlines across world football over recent days.

This comes, first, after Al-Hilal head coach Jorge Jesus admitted that the 32-year-old will not be registered for the 2nd half of the Saudi campaign:

“Ney will not be registered, but he can participate in the Asian Champions League. He’s world-class. But the truth is, physically, Neymar can no longer perform at the level we are used to.”

As much was then swiftly followed by widespread reports that Neymar is on the verge of a return to Brazil, to sign for boyhood club Santos.

And one individual of the opinion that such a move will only benefit the former Barcelona standout is current Blaugrana wide-man Raphinha.

Fresh off notching his latest match-winning brace against Benfica on Tuesday, Raphinha was asked for his take on Neymar’s situation.

And the in-form attacker went on to explain:

“A player like Neymar can’t sit without playing. What’s happening at his club will hinder his physical condition. His return to a high level would be beneficial for him and for everyone.”
