Barcelona star leading all La Liga midfielders in through passes & key passes | OneFootball

The excellent start to the campaign being enjoyed by Barcelona star Pedri has on Wednesday been backed by a head-turning round of statistics.

Pedri, for his part, has of course stood as one of the standout performers in all of Spanish football thus far in 2024/25.

Looking completely reinvigorated under the watch of new Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick, the 21-year-old has put his long-standing fitness problems firmly behind him.

Pedri, in fact, has shone in two altogether different roles, one at the base of midfield, and the other in a more advanced position.

And, as alluded to above, across both, the youngster’s passing has been of the highest standard.

As revealed by statisticians DataMB, Pedri leads all La Liga midfielders in both through passes and key passes across the season to date.

He is also the midfielder who has delivered the most passes into the opposing team’s penalty area, whilst sitting 2nd in long passes, shot assists, and deep completions.
