New Barcelona signing Dani Olmo is working towards positioning himself in some altogether noteworthy company, in the club’s storied history books.
This comes owing to the exploits of the 26-year-old across his first two appearances in Barcelona colours.
After at last being afforded his La Liga bow by the Blaugrana last week against Rayo Vallecano, Olmo wasted little time in making his presence felt, notching the game’s winner inside the closing ten minutes.
And the Spanish international was back on target once more last weekend, slotting home one of his side’s seven goals in an absolute rout of Real Valladolid.
In the process, Olmo, as per Mundo Deportivo, levelled Ludovic Giuly in finding the net in each of his first two outings after joining Barcelona.
Next in the sights of the attacking midfielder, meanwhile, is Cesc Fàbregas, who managed to score in his first four appearances for Barca in 2011/12.
And topping the list, one clear of Fàbregas is Zlatan Ibrahimović, who in his sole season at the Camp Nou (2009/10) notched for five fixtures straight to open the campaign.
