FC Barcelona have faced innumerable difficulties when competing with other top European teams in the footballing market in the last few years, mainly because of their problems with Financial Fair Play.

As a result, they have been able to get only a few desired reinforcements from the market. In such a scenario, their academy, La Masia, has risen up to the occasion and has provided the Blaugranes with a never-ending supply of talent.

Thus, to ensure this supply of talent in the future as well, Barcelona are looking to provide their academy with promising talents from around the world.

In this regard, SPORT reports that one of the players in whom the Blaugranes have taken an interest is the Danish forward Mikkel Bro Hansen, the 16-year-old forward playing for Bodo/Glimt.

It seems like the affection is mutual for both sides, as the player follows the accounts of Barcelona and several Blaugrana players, including Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, and Guille Fernandez, on his social media. However, he also follows Real Madrid and several of their players.

Bodo/Glimt not looking to sell him for now

The young striker is also attracting interest from England, Germany, and Italy, but for now, Bodo/Glimt are not looking for a transfer, as they want Hansen to consolidate himself with their first team for now, so they can get a higher fee for him in the future.

Currently, the 16-year-old has a market value of €500k on the Transfermarkt portal. This value would clearly have been driven by the 6 goals and 2 assists that he had to his name in the Norwegian Cup, and also by the 3 goals he scored with the Danish U-16 team this season.

These figures make him one of the most promising players in European football, and Barcelona are looking to sign him as they continue with their policy of signing young talents to develop them and then incorporate them into their first team or sell them for a profit.
